My Friday 17th

My First friday in Belgrade was full. The girls and I went for a walk around the center of the city. We met Mari at Republic Square and started our sightseeing. On the first moment, we stopped in front a store which had a board that you could write wishes for the New Year. Then we went to a kind of fortress in the end of the street, that is big sidewalk, called Kalemegdan. It was already dark and very cold. We spent about two hours, followed the main path and saw many historical things as jails, cannons, tanks, statues, and a good view of the river and the new part of Belgrade. I might come back to that place during the day to take some pictures.
That day was tiring, we walked a lot. So after, we went to a coffee shop and then home to get some rest.

The Next 2 days...

The next two days were great. On Wednesday 15th, the girls from Russian arrived. Dash is a student of business. She has a straight blonde hair and blue eyes. The other one, with a short red hair and green eyes, is Kristina. She is graduated in public relations and now is studying economics. They don´t speak so much, but they are kind and friendly.

Later, on the same day, we invited Felipe, a guy from Brazil (left in the photo), who is studying economics in San Paulo, to our sweet home. We drank russian vodka with juice and decided to go out. We didn´t know where, but we went. About 10pm, we left Felipe at bus stop and started our hunting for some place. The funniest, we found. Actually, we found two girls on the sidewalk and asked them whether they knew any club near, and the girls did better, or worse. They took us to the same place as they would go. For us it sounded perfect, because the women said that the place was the best club. When we arrived there, it wasn´t a club. It was a kind of pub with music. Or they didn´t undertand the word club or they are laughing now.

On the next day, Thursday 16th, we had a meeting with the hole Local Committee. They were very receptive. All meeting was in english because of us, interns. And also, it was very funny. There were a lot of jokes, nice videos and a participative audience. Each intern did a presentation with power point about his country and culture. Point positive, AIESEC EF Belgrade is very big, funny and organized committee.

After that, many people from L.C. came to a place very cool, inside a cave. It was playing serbian musics and there was just wine to drink, but it was a friendly environment. I made new friends and met a girl from Brazil, a catarinense Mari. I met a girl from Romania too, who speaks portuguese from Portugal. It´s very funny listen to her talking. At 0:45 am, they started to kick us out and close the pub.

What was next, now is past and I´m realizing that time goes fast, mainly here in Belgrade...

The First Impression is that it is

I´ve just arrived in Serbia and... wow this country is beautiful. People are kind and polite; the best part, the girls are pretty!

My first impression of Beograd was great. Most of people try to help you. They are very friendly and very often like to talk with you and ask what are you doing here.

But, actually, my first contact wasn´t so well. At the airport, before I went out, I had all my luggage searched. I was just walking to the exit, when a police officer came and asked me to remove everything of my stuffs, piece by piece. I took about half hour to go out of the airport. Then I met Giga, a big guy, who took me to the AIESEC´s office. I also met more people in the office and my roommate Aga. She is from Poland. She is tall and has a black long hair. She taught me how to get home, witch is very small for four people, but very cozy.

On my second day in Serbia, I saw that white and cold thing... snow. It is great, and recalls childhood. However, it´s cold and my feet got wet. But it is very rewarding, I can make bolls and snowmen and skiing, too. It´s cold, but very cool.

I got a very good reception and a great impression. I´m glad I will be in Serbia for more 5 weeks... and look forward to see what comes next.
